Boulton Paul  P111 50mm EDF

The Boulton Paul, summer project 2019

1: I have had a 50mm PowerFun EDF on the shelf for a while now, waiting for a destination.
2: The Boulton Paul has haunted my mind for almost twenty years.
3: It is summer and the evenings are short, so there is not much time to build.

If I then combine those three facts, only one thing could come out of it.

A very simple construction designed on a few evenings. Except for the Rudder no wooden parts,
The wing is covered with paper and the body with fiberglass. Power Unit, PowerFun 50mm with 4500kv motor and on a 3s 1800mAh batteries. Total weight just under 500gr. Instead of the usual yellow outfit, I gave it a classic racing outfit.

So far two flights, flies well but still needs some fine tuning. Has potential.
